 ALMA { Never Come Back } by Oraku Bad Apple Wars had a great concept for an otome game! despite it having some loose ends, I really enjoyed it :3 Alma was the last route I played but I had a crush on him the moment I saw him xD His past and character really touched me and I cried and laughed a lot throughout his route, also HIS DESIGN IS REALLY COOL??? |  HIGA |  SHIKISHIMA { Red Spider Lily } by Lemon I was skeptical at first, but now I can safely say that I have no regrets over purchasing the Day One Edition of Bad Apple Wars on the release date. The aesthetics, music, and characters won me over easily and before I knew it, I found myself on the floor at 5am as the credits began to roll for the fifth and final time. ​I'm honored to have been part of this project!​ |  SATORU { Moratorium } by LOSTLiLLiTH From its poetic sense of drama to its moody, sentimental settings and desaturated color palette, Bad Apple Wars is one of my favorites! I've been an admirer of Suoh-sensei's character designs since I was first introduced to ALICE=ALICE years ago, so I had a lot of fun drawing this piece. Satoru may not have been my favorite from BAWs, but he definitely holds a place in my heart as a fellow "suspicious nerd" haha. Hope you guys like it! |

 WHITE MASK { Let's Live } by Mat BAW wasn't in any way a perfect game, but the themes it presented still managed to touch my heart in a profound way. Death and despair, life and hope.. I really liked how White Mask's route handled and resolved these conflicting themes. |
ALMA
It hurt to see her feel so downtrodden over something that was never even a flaw in the first place. In fact, it was something to be celebrated.

“You’re special, Rinka, in a way that’s never been seen before. You can see what others don’t, and you can say the most perfect things at the most perfect time,” He would always reply in that same fashion whenever she doubted herself.
​
It wasn’t a lie either, as he had been a first-hand witness to her unseen abilities. She allowed him to move on from his choices. She allowed him to free him from his own cage, and forgive himself.
HIGA

“Higa-san..! Are you really going to keep teaching me how to play?”

“Damn right I am, can’t have you lollipoppin' your throws forever, Rinka.”
​
Those times, every timeless second he’s spent with her... he hopes he managed to do enough for her. To pay her back. Ah, he can hear her in the back of his head, nagging... no, no, reminding him not to think that, that she’s the one that wants to pay him back.

Geez, honestly, that girl... somehow, he wants that promise to her fulfilled.

Rinka steps back, trying to bite her tongue. Really, she’s drawn to help him, to not leave him alone in this messy world. So when he decides to be so loud, so harsh, it’s very... she thinks something else suits him more, that it’s not all him.

Noticing how hurt she looks from him yelling at that volume, Satoru hesitates on looking back to his book. He doesn’t understand why she’s being so insistent on such things, but she has his attention. That face... he doesn’t like it looking so upset... That’s worrisome...

“..!” She quickly realizes she has his audience, if only just for a second, “Shikishima-san drew this today. I really don’t understand it though...” Instead of a canvas, she holds up a grey-scale flower, “I think... He tried to explain to me what it was, but I didn’t get it...”
